Zillion LRG
Feeder retrofit Rogowski
The LRG – Life Retrofit Rogowski is a retrofit low-voltage line supervisor designed for advanced electrical monitoring of existing networks where direct intervention on conductors is not feasible or desirable.
Its retrofit design, based on Rogowski sensors, enables electrical monitoring of outgoing feeders without interrupting the power supply. It also avoids modifications to the existing infrastructure, facilitating the progressive digitalisation of networks already in service. The use of Rogowski coils minimises mechanical intervention on conductors, making the LRG particularly suitable for installations where a non-invasive approach is a priority.
The LRG is installed on the outgoing feeders of low-voltage switchboards, both in secondary substations and urban distribution cabinets. In this context, it provides electrical visibility at previously unmonitored points in the network, making it particularly suitable for gradual network modernisation projects.
Integrated into the Zillion ecosystem, the LRG captures electrical information in a consistent manner. The resulting data can be used seamlessly alongside other monitoring solutions, supporting network operation and its evolution towards more efficient, data-driven models.
Value proposition of the Retrofit Line Supervisor
Retrofit monitoring without network disruption. The use of Rogowski sensors enables electrical monitoring of outgoing feeders without direct contact with conductors. This prevents power outages and reduces installation risks.
Fast deployment in existing networks. The LRG is designed for scenarios where the infrastructure is already in service. It also enables the integration of advanced electrical monitoring without the need to redesign the system.
Safe and easy installation. Non-invasive measurement and the retrofit approach improve safety during field work. As a result, deployment times are reduced.
Consistency within the Zillion ecosystem. Data collected by the LRG integrates natively with the rest of the Zillion solutions. This ensures a unified and consistent view of the low-voltage network.
Primary use case
Electrical monitoring of outgoing feeders in low-voltage switchboards installed in secondary substations and urban distribution cabinets. This approach is particularly suitable for existing networks where intrusive installation is not feasible. The LRG provides electrical visibility at these points in the network, supporting the detection of abnormal behaviour, operational analysis and data-driven decision-making. In this context, it acts as a retrofit low-voltage line supervisor for the gradual digitalisation of the network.
