Electric network digitisation | Network topology
The correct determination of the connectivity or topology in Medium Voltage and Low Voltage electric distribution networks brings innumerable benefits, allowing a more efficient and effective management of the network.
The term “network connectivity or topology” refers to the process of determining the connection of an end-consumer to a transformer in the LV network, i.e. to which transformer, feeder and phase(s) the customer is connected. This network, in turn, may or may not have intermediate distribution elements, of which we will also be interested in knowing the connection in order to have a complete map of the consumers hanging from a transformer and the LV network in general.
